Male "individuality" can be a real liability with women. Whether women actually prefer "conformist" men depends on what you mean by conformist, but being weird and holding unconventional opinions doesn't necessarily help.<br /><br />But I was mostly thinking of the other way. If a woman's role in the dating market is to attract men and then choose the men that she wants to be with, the primary barrier to finding somebody could simply be going unnoticed. Therefore being "different" and garnering attention for that doesn't necessarily strike me as a bad tactic.<br /><br />On the other hand, I suspect that's what a lot of GPB's think. Being too different, or being different in a way that's unattractive (which is of course quite subjective and subject to change without notice) can hurt no matter who you are.
