Your country is over. Brazil North is officially <i>now</i>. This was deniable four years ago ("Well, you know, everyone's just sick of Bush; let's give this brown guy a chance..."), but not today. That's the main lesson. Romney was a decent candidate - hardly perfect, but no one can be who has to appeal to so many different groups.
