Slouching towards Dhimmitude . . .

In the inbox this morning:

Several national pro-America, pro-Family groups including Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs (Stop Islamization of America), Matt Staver’s Liberty Counsel, Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch and Sharia Awareness Action Network organized a national conference for November 11, 2011.  The purpose of the conference is to educate leaders and citizens from across the country on what they can do to stop the advancement of Sharia law within the United States.  The Preserving Freedom Conference organizers signed contracts with the Hutton Hotel for the two day event.  Hutton Hotel is one of thirteen hotels operated by Amerimar Enterprise.

However, Islamic activists protested by placing extreme pressure on Hutton Hotel management officials to cancel the event.  Hutton chose to side with these Islamic, Sharia for America advocates by cancelling the event long planned by many pro-American, pro-Family organizations.  Matt Staver, Liberty Counsel President wrote a demand letter to Amerimar Enterprise.  Click here to read the demand letter.

The link takes you to the full article, plus an auto-emailer to help you express your opinion to Amerimar Enterprise.  It’s not much, but it’s a lot more than most of us would do otherwise.

It is interesting watching the discussions of what brings America Down first/fastest/ or highest probability. It is interesting that Islam is still even in the discussion.

Granted, they make the list, but the future of America will be decided by hispanic immigrants long before then.

But I never hear any discussions about American resurgency. it seems common knowledge that white middle-class America is going down and can't be saved. The discussions are all about salvaging small peices for a little longer.

Mmmm . . . there's a lot to unpack here, depending on what you mean.

For the time being, America is well-organized for state-level conflict, so much so that no nation is eager to have it with us, while we are free to pursue it willy-nilly. Unfortunately, America is very poorly organized for cultural-demographic conflict, of which immigration, Islamic intimidation etc. are manifestations.

Given this premise, I am hard pressed to find any evidence for American resurgence, or even incipient resurgence. Perhaps you have examples?

To answer your initial question about who constitutes the bigger threat and/or brings us down first, let me speak in hand-waving generalities. My impression is that Hispanics and Muslims are pursuing different strategies (using that word loosely). Hispanics have numbers, and their relative poverty and dysfunction will bankrupt and ruin our social services. They do have some linguistic and historical identity issues that retard their cultural assimilation, but these are (I think) relatively weak. Muslims, in contrast, have relatively low numbers but huge cultural solidarity in a Western context, and find it easy to use violence, intimidation, and the American legal system to their advantage.

I'd prefer not to have to think about which of them will win the struggle over the carcass of white America.

On the positive side, most hispanic kids are pretty well acculturated after one trip through the public school system, and most Muslim immigrants come to America to get away from Sharia.

On the even more positive side, and this coming from a guy who doesn't have much good to say about PS...perhaps the PS is the biggest weapon out there for blunting the cultural and intellectual power of immigrants. As Justin said, the PS is hard at work inculcating its own version of the culture, and that version is as hostile to European and Christian culture as it is to Moslem and Catholic/Latin-American culture. It is however very much about propagating a sec-humanist Universalist big-State kinda culture.

Also, I wonder if the death of white America is overplayed. Sure capital-W White America is finished. But what will come in its place? When white folks recognize that they are one greivance group amongst many in a Darwinian struggle for survival, perhaps then they will join their more melanin-blessed peers in thinking and acting as a bloc.

Justin: here again, the situation is complex. Hispanics by and large are assimilating to black American socio-economic norms, although they have yet to show much interest in murdering me merely for being white or Christian.

With regards to Arabic immigrants, I would go further in that, up until 9/11, my understanding is that the majority were Christians. Is that still true? And would it be more accurate to say that Muslim immigrants come less to "get away from Sharia" than to make more money or because they sought to excape vengeful modernists in places like Egypt, Libya, Iraq, etc.

And I would go further in arguing that having asylum-seeking parents is not a 100% prophylactic against subsequent generations turning to radical Islam as an expression of cultural or national alienation.

EW: I fear that big-state universalism, like many other memes, is only the face they show us white Christians. Otherwise, the public schools bend over backwards accomodating the ethnic grievances and prejudices of minorities. They are only too happy to tell Hispanic children that "America stole your country" or in hosting sex-segregated Muslim prayer services during school hours.

It may be true that the decline of white America will be matched by a rise in ethonocentrism and that a new equilibrium will be achieved. But if it does, our condition will have immiserated considerably. Because presently, the elites of our race actively collaborate with our enemies.

I would guess that the number one reason of islamic immigration to teh USA is economic. Ant that economic is based largely on being from a tribe that is hind teat in the home country. They have zero inclination to assimilate, but their numbers are too few to pose any real threat to changing America outside of places like Dearborn and NYC.

The immigration from Mexiso and farther South is transforming America into a third World country by their very presence here. the larger culture has no natural defenses agaisnt these predetors. While the dominant culture can seriously outproduce the invaders in material wealth and industry, they can't create enough of their own offspring to leave their wealth to. So the invaders expect to get that too. Further, the messages od socialism, land reform and redistribution are all well established in the places these people come from. They have no loyalty to free markets, personal liberty, or limited government.

Prof Hale: Muslim ethnic enclaves go well beyond NYC and Dearborn. But more to the point, Muslims have alread changed America for the worse. The South Park creators are already less free than they were ten years ago to lampoon Islam. Anti-jihad organizations are already constrained in their activities as this latest incident shows.

Professor Hale said...

true, but the source of thair lack of freedom is larger than Islam. it is liberalism and the multi-culturalism that flows form it. If we had not already been indoctrinated with decades of speach conformity and race/religion/national origen/gender/and sexual perversion tollerance, then Islam wouldn't matter at all. Even withouot Islam, South Park would have been censored, because out own culture has no safeguards. Islam is just another bucket in a lake of slime.

Dr. Φ said...

Well yes, but I would be more specific. Multiculturalism is like HIV in that it compromises our immune system. Islam is just a virulent strain of flu that any healthy polity would repel in short order, yet ours cannot.

I disagree that South Park would be censored anyway, and I offer up as evidence that South Park has in fact not been censored with respect to any other plaintiff. They are equal opportunity satirists, except that Comedy Central (Viacom?) won't let Muslim sensibilities be crossed in the least way.

Dang, there sure are a lot of typoes in that last comment of mine. I think your editing standards must be falling off.

Just wondering--why the Raymond Burr pic for your identifier? Congrats on the degree and I did notice the grad cap on Burr). As to being unemployed, I wish you luck in not remaining so for long.

Unknown: thanks. More to come on the job front.

Re: Perry Mason cocking his head with that "really?" expression. I can't remember the name of the writer from whom I snatched that pic, but it neatly expressed my attitude at the time.
